Bonjour, Aloha, Shalom, Bongiorno, Buenos Dias, Hello, Hi, Howdy
I would like to start out by saying that in Base 13, 6 by 9 does indeed equal 42.
I was born in 1984, when everyone finally stopped worrying about Big Brother watching them. My real name is John Charles Barnes. I've lived in Southern California for nearly all my life. I hate the beach. I can't swim. So that rules out being a surfer dude, despite the long hair I currently sport. I've been into video games since I was 2 (as far back as I can remember) and started on my parents Atari. The first time I heard anything about the Hitchhiker's Guide was in the computer game ZORK (I think it was #4) where the jester says "So long, and thanks for all the fish." This was on my uncle's laptop (he grew up with computers) and when I asked him what that was about, he explained about the dolphins in the book and how they went away, just a brief explanation. Then, in 1999 I read the first 4 books in the trilogy after my English teacher gave me his copy because we had to do a book report. I've loved it ever since.
I love classic rock music, video games, humor, language, math, and being weird. I have no plans for the future, which is probably why I am here trying my hand at writing.
