This was my first article and strangly enough it wasn't rubbish. It was the pick of the day on its first time round. Some of it is extremely funny.

Great article .
I remember, however, long before the dates mentioned in your work , going to the *Pictures* on a Saturday afernoon and getting two shows , trailers , serials and so on , a veritable bonanza .
One of the films shown was always a class above the other and we ( my youthful mates and I ) thought of them as * B* grade then , though the actual term may have originated as you say
Sometimes the cinema owners made odd choices . I remember *The Ox-Bow * incident having a huge effect on me when it was shown as the first feature -- and then walking out in disgust when the *main* feature came on , which is not well-aligned with my normal parsimony This horror was * I Married an Angel * and as I am a stubborn old codger , I tried to watch it on a tv repeat a while ago .
Didn't make it any further into the movie than I did when I was a teenager
