It is Steve Parnell first visit to the UK. He has just flown into London with his super rich American boss, Colonel Morgan – who treats him almost as a son. They’re staying in one of London’s glitzy hotels – in a suite with two bedrooms. Steve returns from a stroll around town to time to find, not Morgan, but the body of a beautiful murdered girl in his bosses room, the murder weapon, Morgan’s old bowie knife, is right their by her side. Steve drags the body into his own room in order to give his boss more time to flee the country. He then takes off to collect his thoughts and, knowing no one in London except the name of distant relatives, arrives at the front door of a suburban stockbroker style house. Although Susan King is immediately attracted to her handsome American cousin, a nagging doubt persists. Beneath his charming appearance, does their lurk the sinister face of a murderer?
