The effects were often tacky, the dialogue occasionally stilted (sometimes to the extent of risibility) and the sets -well, you remember.
However, the fact is that with a very limited budget and a universe worth of imagination, the producers brought forward a show which in many ways was the keystone for modern Sci. Fi.
