Dr. Who Fans - can u help?

This is a totally vague query, but here we go anyway.
I remember watching a Dr. Who episode which was filmed on Barry Island in South Wales (which is where I live). And that's pretty much all I have.
My biology teacher from when I was in sixth form says that he was used as a body double for a motorbike sequence.
Thank u

The 1987 story 'Delta and the Bannermen" was filmed at Barry Island. It did feature motorbikes- a scooter of some variety and a Vincent.
You can find more about it here:

Holy moly!!!!
I didn't expect any1 2 b able 2 answer such a vague query, let alone so quickly. My biology teacher must have been telling the truth then (or else a very elaborate lie).
Cheers very much. I'm gonna get hold of that.

No problem It's odd the stuff people around here know. I'm fairly sure Delta has been released on video. WHat does you're teacher look like? Then I can tell you if he matches the description of any of the ppl riding bikes...

I'm still amazed at the speed u got that. I was thinking I'd cause grief, arguments etc. about what the episode was. Are you sure you're not Dr. Who - travelling back in time with the no. (sorry crap joke).
I've actually seen the episode but I was really young, I think about 6 and I can't really remember it except 4 1 scene.
My biology teacher has got long hair n a beard and he used to be a rocker. He's got a very distinguished appearence. His hair's gray now, tho I'm not sure what it would have been then. Probably brown. Or gray.
I'm definitely gonna buy a copy of it - if i can find it. I used 2 know some1 who had it - but I've fallen out of touch with them.

Long hair and a beard, hmm, that doesn't really match the description of anyone on the bikes... Rocker yes, but Billy had slicked-back hair and was in his twenties... You sure he wasn't one of the team that supplied the bikes, throughout the 80s there was a set of biker lads that provided all the bikes the Dr. Who team needed...

Yeah he said he was used for aclose up of his hands driving the motorbike - so there's probably not a shot of his face, unfortunately.

I'm afraid I can't help either - the Doctor Who Location Guide tells you what was filmed where, but so far there isn't a "Doctor Who Body Part Guide" out to say whose arms and legs are in each shot.
Anyone here wanting to write one?
