I have no explanation for the 'sucess' of the Film and TV versions of highlander. but I do think that parts pf the concept are wonderful and if you loved highlander but thought there were too many cringe-worthy bits then you should definately check out the fan fic. it cant deliver the sword fights but there's still plenty of bonking. A big bonus is that there are some really good story lines, characters with wasted potential are used and cross overs with anything are not only possible but also work wonderfully. I mean, how can there be watchers in Buffy and Highlander and it not be an invitation to cross over. I think most people would agree that the bulk of shows, Startrek, Bab 5, Dr. Who etc all terrible moments and rubbish acting, but they are still 'magic'.

sorry this is incoherent, it's been a long day and I've got to hurry bcak to a fan fic where Methos has been buried by Macleod with a dagger through his heart in a diserted crypt. He is not going to be happy when he wakes up
