Very good entry!

Although I play "Skat" for quite some years now, I learned some new things (I didn't knew the "Spitze", have to try it).

Keep on this good work.

And I haven't heard of any bet higher than 'without 4, played 5' smiley - erm

For all that it's worth, can you even *win* a game 'without 7, played 8' ?

thanks

Yes, you can!

My highest won "Without"-Game was "Without 9" smiley - biggrin, really!

There used to be a Skat-column in my local newspaper every weekend. There you could have found any (im-)possible game, like for example a safe-looking Grand lost, and things like that.

'without 9' implies that you had only the four lowest trump cards and gave them away... ok, if the rest was distributed as 4 and 5 then you got rid of all but one of the trump cards and the others scored all points from that colour, plus 3 jacks, plus perhaps a 10 in the last trick of the trump suit. That'll be ... 47 points. Another trick given away and you're gone, so you had all the other aces and at least two 10s.

Er.. or was it a 'fleischloser' (*no* trump suit at all) which appears to be missing from the entry?

thanks

er.. no, it's all wrong. There are only 11 trump cards and 'without 9' means you had two of them (which you gave away), plus three tricks for the rest. ummm!

thanks

I know "Fleischloser" (also "Knochenloser") from "Doppelkopf" only...

Attn. moderators: see brackets for explanation!

I was only using the same word you did in posting 5. I know it only from "Doppelkopf" (German name for another card game; approx. "doublehead"). The play "Fleischloser" (German name for a type of play; approx. "fleshless") is also known as "Knochenloser" (approx. "boneless").
