I would like you to update this with the origins of Velcro wall jumping. I first became aware of it because it was a stunt on the television programme "Late Night with David Letterman" (United States, originally aired on NBC). Did this start the trend, or was it started by college students, who have been a big part of the viewing audience for David Letterman, who somehow got word of it and put it on his show? (Dave's fans probably remember his "suit of..." stunts; I don't remember if this was the first one, but they were inspired by Steve Allen of NBC's original "Tonight Show", who once wore a suit of teabags, and had himself lowered into a large container of water.)
