There were 8 but Stuart David left to concentrate on Looper (a spoken word project) and his writing.

True...but not any more. At the Royal Albert Hall gig (absolutely bloody amazing) there was an extra flautist (assuming that's the proper word for one who plays flute) and I'm pretty sure that Stuart Murdoch announced that she was a new band member...I'm not certain though.
Great article by the way, it's a shame you beat me to it...I say we turn this into a thread for people to nominate favourite B&S songs or something. I think Dog on Wheels (the one single I don't have yet) is amazing live..but generally speaking my favourite is Photo Jenny or this is just a modern rock song

The flautist was introduced to us at the Aberdeen gig (also amazing) but no mention was made of her joining.

My favourite song? Either This Is Just A Modern Rock Song or The Family Tree.

Family Tree is a really cool track..also..i think the coolest 'far out' track is between Electronic Renaissance and Century of Elvis...i love that line in the latter..'I used to think my Dad was Elvis..i never told him that......i never told me dad either'
