A Conversation for Swiss Army Knives
Black Casing

In Switzerland (1973) we were told that Swiss Army Knives with BLACK casing were the genuine article and were only available in Switzerland. Exported models had the RED casing. Of course, this may have since changed.

Yup, it's still true. I think there are several colours only available in Switzerland - I remember black and green, anyway.
Unfortunately when I was in Switzerland and bought my knife, they only did the one I wanted in red

I used to have one of the 58 mm knives with a manicure set - but although it had the Swiss flag motif, it had a yellow casing, which I haven't been able to track down.
My handbag was stolen last night and I am pricing losses for insurance - can anyone help?
