Massive thanks for the track descriptions. As I read them each track cues itself up in my mind and the mental music plays until I read the next one.
The entry into mainstream consumer electronics of the compact disk seemed timed perfectly to match the release of Brothers In Arms. So much so that it was a surprise that each new player did not arrive shrink wrapped with a copy included in the tray. For me however, the CD was invented for the helicopter, one of the most brilliant moving stereo audio images of its era. The helicopter was also used by Kate Bush on the Hounds Of Love album.
Since I lived in a shared house at about the time this was released on CD, we got a huge laugh out of playing the ringing phone too.
