The Secret of Dry-Stone Walls

How to build Dry-rock walls. No mortar.

The trick with found rocks and stones is that unlike bricks they are not all the same size and shape. Finding good ones is the hardest part.

When stacking rocks for a wall always put one rock across the gap between two below. The rule is 'one rock on two, two rocks on one'.
They hold each other in place and they don't need mortar.

This is the best kept secret of the Masonic Temple. This sacred Truth has been handed down from the Egyptians and even earlier. Don't tell anyone, especially a Mason, because you are not supposed to know this.
But, you can see the pattern clearly in any wall done with bricks and mortar - one on two, two on one. The best 'secrets' are in plain sight.
