Project Description
The Julio-Claudian Emperors, the first Imperial Roman dynasty, range from Augustus, an enlightened despot, to Nero, an egocentric and irresponsible young man. Throughout the century between one civil war and another, the five Julio-Claudians — Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius and Nero — controlled the mighty Roman Empire, whether for good or for ill.
