Serendipity Dog

Wasn't there a TV program named Serendipity Dog in the sixties? I was very young then (and I'm v. old now) so memories are vague but I seem to recall a robotic dog (imagine K9 in a seated position) as the host of a sort of hi tech Blue Peter.

The program was called Tom Tom and it was introduced by Jeremy Carad (may not be spelled correctly). It featured Formula 1 Grand Prix racing a lot and of course Serendipity Dog. My wife looks at me strangely when I mention it as if to say "what have you been smoking?" but I have managed to track down a few references on TV nostalgia sites. It only ran for two years in the mid 60s so it's not surprising that relatively few people remember it.
