A Conversation for Section 16(2)(a) of the '1968 Theft Act' (England and Wales)
Non Payment of Wages

During her interview, my daughter was told a pack of lies about the company for whom she accepted a job. It transpired that the company had a history opf going out of business and then re-emerging. They also had a history of non-payment of wages.
Her wages cheque has bounced and she has now resigned. What remedies does she have? Have the directors comitted any criminal offence? She has had to borrow money to live, can she claim back the interest on the borrowed money?
Any replies would be welcome at [email protected]
