It's nice when a palindrome has a sense of meaning. My late father would quote with satisfaction one he learned at school(before 1914, so less tha a century after Waterloo): "Able was I ere I saw Elba".
Palindromes can be lengthy. I once came across one which was an essay (in French) of several A4 pages.
