Cheescake icecream. Yummy!
I just read the article and got so hungry.
Unfortunately I'm at work right now, so I can't start preparing it right away.
But I will soon, respectively I'll translate the recipe into German, so my wife can handle it.
She's a very good cook and will most likely change it a bit, in order to avoid any animal substances.
I'll let you know of the outcome, and how she modificated the original recipe.

Since it is so very dairy-and-egg based, it is a little hard for me to imagine a vegan version...

There is no such thing as non-dairy cream cheese, is there?

Otherwise, I don't tolerate dairy (I make this for my fella smiley - biggrin ) but soya milk that has been thickened by boiling off a lot of the water, and a small amount of agar-agar, potato starch, or corn starch for thickening can be flavoured in almost any way and is not bad for texture - it isn't cheesecake, but it's tasty.

Good luck! I'd like to know how your wife modifies it for vegans, since more and more, I am a vegan, not by choice but on instructions from my body smiley - erm.
