The TLA 'DNA' stands for
deoxyribonucleic acid, without the S ... I think ...

While subbing this Entry I checked the Net for the spelling: both versions seem to be in use quite regularily.

I think Deoxyribose-NA is British and Deoxyribo-NA is the American version. Both are acceptable.

Yes but the article has "Desoxy..." in it, which I've never seen.
Also, whilst in Peer Review I did point out that there are *three* forms of RNA - messenger RNA (mRNA), transfer RNA (tRNA) and ribosomal RNA (rRNA). I thought this was quite an important point.
But hey ho.

'Desoxy..', i didnt notice that, now that *is* a mistake
The three RNAs are of extreme relevance, should have been included...

One glaring omission now, is that mRNA and tRNA is explained away well enough, while what rRNA does isn't explained at all, can't win can you?

I thought I would at least add it. I can only win in this situation if someone explains what it is because that whooshing noise you hear is this subject going right over my head

Hmmm rRNA...
Well ribosomes synthesise proteins using both mRNA and tRNA and ribosomes are made from both protein and rRNA - some rRNA are the only known biological molecules other than proteins to be able to catalyse chemical reactions and are consequently known as ribozymes (ca. enzymes - proteins that catalyse chemical reactions).
Probably another big whooshing noise going overhead though I suspect.

Hm... Yeah, seeing as we've mentioned it we probably should explain it.
I suggest an addition to that paragraph something along the lines of:
rRNA, along with some proteins, is what makes up ribosomes. Ribosomes are the things which actually build the protein using the mRNA as a blueprint.
Cheers.
