So. One question I have about the double-bass...
(No, I wasn't going to ask how you fit it under your chin, that feeble joke is way too old.)
I've seen a couple of rockabilly bands with a double-bass player - and they sometimes place it on the ground at an angle and stand on the instrument (and continue to play it) - does it need to be strengthened for this trick?
I've also heard of the instrument being called a 'bull-fiddle'.
