If the universe is infinite, then im "a" center, 21+4^1+8+9=42 Started conversation Apr 21, 2003
can any odd number times 3 plus 1 equal on odd number? this is really important to me, it might help me solve the conjecture. or in other words (well symbols)
2n-1*3+1=2n-1?
help please

so is there any numbers that follow that rule?
help please

No, of course not:
3n - 1/2 = m
Obviously this cannot be true for any integers n and m.

darn, that really sucks, i needed that so that my equation would work, now i need to go to plan b which is going to be bloody hard, it will still have a equation which i will need to make up some time, its just going to be a lot lot longer and harder....damn
