Great site...got me thinking.
A lot of people quote the 'water' clue as their favourite, but I'm very fond of the cryptic definitions. My all-time favourite appeared in the Times a few years back:
What an expert in share movement expects from the board (10,5)
Answer in a week or so (or on demand).

Hmm. Occasional Table? If that's right, I'm not sure I like the clue.

No, Occasional Table not right. I think this is a classic:
Ploughman's Lunch
Think about it.

Excellent Entry!
My dad was very taken by a clue decadss ago in either the Guardian or Telegraph (the latter he only bought for the crossword):

Personally, my favourite cryptic clue is:
E
It is for a 13 letter word. Give up? See my user "my space" for the answer.
It is practically impossible in my opinion.

One of the best and hardest clues I saw last year was:
Do it! (2,2)
Be warned - it's obscure.

My favourite clue is "Keats and Yeats do but don't (5)" as it was one of the very first Times Crosswords I looked at and really enjoyed the when I got it!
Do it! (2,2)
Is there Latin in it?

Not correct, but very close in definition.
This is a fully-formed cryptic clue with both definition and a secondary indication too. If you can solve it 'blind' (i.e. without crossing letters) I'll be very impressed. I had one or two to help me.
