If you could explain what you meant by your apparently contradictory sentence, we could perhaps come up with an alternative wording that would keep everybody including you happy.

I'm afraid that doesn't fit in with my experience. In my view, everyone thinks they are the reasonable one and that everybody else holds bigoted and opinionated view. I've never met a single person who thought that they were bigoted and opinionated and thateveryone else in the world was reasonable.
