h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This was a really interesting piece. As a history teacher I find that it is one of the hardest topics to explain but often quite rewarding when explored well. Why this is I think is because children are constantly told particularly in primary schools that Britain's history is one of peace and I think that students tend to think of wars that happen elsewhere, the fact that religion is a large cause does not help explainig it either to a 13 year old.
Is there a history society on h2g2, if not should one be set up, if there is can anyone direct me there...

I'm surprised a your comments, one of my biggest frustrations at school was that in history we didn't do enough of the interesting stuff (i.e. the bits with battles) the industrial revolution was all well & good but I'd rather have been studying the ECW or 100 years war or similar (but maybe that was just me at age 13 ?).
