Why useless for calculations?

Surely if you measure time in internet time repeatedly, and report your result in internet time with no conversion, then it must be just as accurate as regular time. No? Or are you saying that the precise amount of time in each beat varies from beat to beat, making Internet Time useless for measurement (but great for Jazz)?

I think what he means is that there is no standard such as a millibeat for example which means that you can only get as accurate as 1 min 26.
May be wrong though
