The h2g2 Poem
Created | Updated Jun 22, 2003
Our resident poet Positive Feedback is taking a short rest from Post duty as 'Real Life' encroaches. We look forward to welcoming him back in about a month's time. Here is a poem by yet another researcher.
Don't Sleep with Anger
The boy looked down upon her face
as she slept
(While all around the hound dogs bayed...)
'Where are the dreams...
did you forget
The promises you made...
never to be kept!'
'Wake up!,wake up
Answer me straight
Can we find what we have lost
Or is it too late?'
The girl turned eyes of hardened steel
To the wall
(The wolves screamed their anger to the sky...)
'You told me forever...
That was all...
You're the gambler
Make the call!'
'Wake up!,wake up
Answer me straight
Can we find what we have lost
Or is it too late?'
The boy touched her hand
in the night
(The owls screeched a warning to their young...)
The girl moved closer...
held on tight...
The move was there
It felt so right!
'Wake up!,wake up
Give it me straight
We have found what we lost
It's not too late?'
