Have only listened to the first episode. Am saving it up . Such a book!!!
Seriously though, I always thought that it fell down in the later half when Winston Smith had to cope with reality. Up til then Huxley is setting out the premises of distopia, but when he has to get down to how people really live, it falls a bit flat.
Maybe he should have just gone over the half. A flawed masterpiece that pre-dates Orwell's 1984 by about 16 years.
Timeless really. I love Huxley!
