i new to this site, but having completed the expedition aspect of my dofe gold, i can confidently say that north east scotland is one of the most beautiful places i have ever been to. i completed a 3 day, 40km trek last year, at easter. It was freezing, uncomfortable, tiring, but most importantly, completely unstressful. Its impossible to describe, but when you are looking out over 100s of miles of snow capped scenery, and you really do feel that you are linking the sky to the earth, most things seem very insignificant. Like i said, i haven't actually said anything about the route or, sights, but i really feel that i don't need to, as lochinver is such a diverse, and wonderful place. thanks 4 the time.
