There's a great band out there continuing the tradition of surf guitar. Man... or Astro-Man? plays music combining several genres, but most notable throughout is the surf guitar sound. Some of their newest music off of their most recent CD release is heavier into the techno sound, but it makes a very interesting sort of fusion. Most of their music is instrumental, but there are a few tunes featuring vocals. The only place I can think of that anyone might know them from is the theme to Mystery Science Theater 3000 (a pseudo-scifi TV show where a man and two robots watch old B-movies, heckling mercilessly).
Damn... I miss that show.

Oh, I should clarify....
Man... or Astro-man? is the name of the band. All that punctuation confuses things, but that is the way it is written.

Thanks for the pointer! I have heard of "Man ... or Astro-man?" before, though I must confess that my only direct experience with them is the theme to "MST3K" as you pointed out (sorry, I like that acronym, heh). Perhaps I should check them out more in depth. Good suggestion.
