Wouldn't mind trying a lamburger some day. Though I'm not sure my butcher carries lamb yet. He does stock Emu and has pre-made bison (meat) patties.
That's a good idea - adding the yoghurt to the meat. I might try that with emu - it's so lean that it can be difficult to fry up sometimes.
It's touches like this that make me think the Guide is someday going to be more popular that the Encyclopedia Brittanica!

I guess the lamburger has been quite popular here in the UK over the last few years with the health scares about eating beef. Minced lamb (fresh and frozen) is avaliable at most large supermarkets as well as all the usual other cuts of meat.

I would love to see them available in McDonalds and Burger King.... then I could rename the yarn "Lamburgers - New Zealands Part In Americas Downfall". 
The Mike Moore mentioned in the yarn is the current chairman of the World Trade Organisation that has been at the centre of the recent anti-globilisation riots in Seattle (and other places).

I see the Lamburger has more lamb in it than a hamburger has ham. 
It seems to make more sense, which isn't surprising for something from the Southern Hemisphere

....And dont forget that New Zealand has more Zealand than that rock in the Blatic sea. And New South Wales, is actually a teeny weeny bit bigger than the old one.
Oh, and hamburgers contain no ham, in the same way that Hot dogs contain no dogs, frankfurters have an absence of Franks, and Kiwis have a lack of........

If the Frankfurters that they sell outside English football stadiums are anything to go by, they should rename this delicacy, "DonkeysAnkleFurter". There are more nutrients in my extractor fan.

1st Aussie: Didn't that Russian sheila and that Maori guy do well when they won medals for us at the Olympics
2nd Aussie: Yeah but, it's a bummer that Aussie sheila is playing for Yugoslavia in the Australian Tennis Open this week
