A Conversation for Left-ear Phone Conversations

What if...?

Cheerful Dragon

What if the phone is on the left of where you sit? I'm right-handed but the phone is on my left. When the phone rings I reach for it with my left hand and hold it to my left ear. This leaves my right hand free for taking notes.

I don't think I've ever swapped the phone from one ear to the other. I've never understood people who do, but this article explains their actions. It also explains right-handed people holding the phone to their left ear - with their right hand! It looks so awkward. Why don't they hold the phone in their other hand? You don't need to be ambidextrous to do that.
