I beleave that after the earhquakes last summer.... Geysir is active again...
We had to long awaited and feard "southernlands-quake" last summer... 1st one on 17th of june.. and the 2nd one few days later..
I think it was quite scary... you are very small when the earth starts erupting... in any sence... earthquakes... volcanic eruptions...

Yes,
I visited June 2001.
Saw Geysir erupt, though only once in about a 45 minute stay.
The neighbouring Strokkur was erupting every 1-2 minutes though.

I camped overnight beside Strokkur - well, not right beside it! A few hundred meters away. It was lovely to hear it churning away if you woke in the middle of the night. I'm glad to hear that Geysir is performing again.
