Another quite unusual instrument is the multi bell cornet. i has 7 bells, each working with a valve. It was invented by adolphe sax and is a very complicated instrument. It is very heavy and thus hard to play.
The trombone plays exactly like it, is much simpler and has been around for way longer than the multi bell cornet.
