Mummers in the UK are a particular type of traditional "dance" thing -
groups of people, usually all male, in various disguises, performing odd ritual dances. Typically would be a cast of Saint George, a Dragon, and a doctor to bring the Dragon back to life after Saint George does the dirty deed with the sword. The history of mummers goes back hundreds of year, and it is possible that some of the dances may pre-date Christianity.

That's fantastic! How do you think the same name got applied to such radically different things? It has to be a coincidence, right? It's hard to imagine that there's any kind of serious connection between them...
