It would be great to have the classical banjo included...played on a five string banjo, it was this instrument which was THE instrument to be seen with ( and to be heard playing ) in the Victorian era, both in Britain and the States. So called because it utilised classical guitar technique, the classical banjo is still very popular and widely played both in Britain and the States.
