Excellant article, liked it alot
THe best one ive been to was on new years day which was also the end of the performace.
Everyone over the age of about 15 was at least slightly hung over but about a third of the audience was small children who were being very noisy - one thing that the characters could play on.
One thing you didnt addd was about how the names of the big group are shouted out - we had six (a quarter of the largest) but when we gave our required shout we were told we were the loudest, if a tad posh
However everyone was so in the mood for it at one stage we got a clear five minutes booing of evil characters. CLEAR - literally the characters could not speak at all, it somewhat hampered story progression but was great fun.

Love panto. Russia has the ballet, the French have painting, the Americans have film, and we have panto. Isn't it great?
Love the article. Well done.
