A Conversation for Traditional North German Food

Mmmm, memories

Post 1

feisty

Just wanted to say that I thin German cuisine is lovely. Like a few other posters on this thread I spent some time in Nord Rhein Westphalen (please excuse any typo's) while in the Army, though I only came back 5 years ago. Luckily enough I brought a lovely German girl back with me, and only the other day she cooked up some warm Frikadellan with some sort of cucumber, dill and cream sauce (dont know the name). We also always use little packets that her Mum sends over to make our salad dressings. Oh, to be stuck in Koln on a cold winters night with hot a Bratty with mustard in one hand and a strong and sweet Gluvine in the other. Memories....smiley - cheers
