Not saying it's not great or anything but I've written so many colums on them, I feel as if there is a bunch of stuff missing and I'd like to Edit it. Can I edit it?
Is there any point?
Someone message me back on this.
I'm a newb.
I need help.
Greatley appreciated,
Amelie Garcia

If it is just a few changes you want to make to the entry, there's no great problem. You just go to Feedback / Editorial (click on Feedback in the left margin, then on the Editorial link) and start a conversation there, giving the A number of the entry A471403 and a list of the changes you want made, being as specific as possible. Someone will be along shortly to make them.
If you want to do a major rewrite, that is possible too, but it is a much more long-drawn-out process and not for the faint-hearted. Basically what you do is make a copy of the existing entry, edit that until you are happy with it, add the author of the original entry to the author list of your new entry, and then pop it into the Update Forum. People will review the changes you have suggested and if everybody is happy with them, eventually one of the Editors will make yours the new Edited Entry.
Good, but I'd like to edit it.

And then there's still the possibility to comment on an entry, post additional information or personal experiences in a conversation at the bottom of the entry. One could see it as an extension of the entry, and when someone bothers to update an entry, all the comments are usually reviewed and the worthwhile ones are usually included.

Welcome to h2g2, mozz_kitten - or may I call you Amelie? (You have the same name as my all-time favourite film, and you're the first real Amelie I've encountered!)
Schreck has already indicated the manner in which updates are done on h2g2. Looking at the Entry again, the most obvious update that is required is an acknowledgement of Morrissey's triumphant return with 'You Are The Quarry' in 2004, and the now very imminent follow-up 'Ringleader Of The Tormentors'. I will post a paragraph on those developments to Feedback Forum today.
I appreciate that there is a lot more that could be added. At least one excellent book has been written about The Smiths - Simon Goddard's 'Songs That Saved Your Life'. However, h2g2 Guide Entries are meant to be fairly succinct summaries of their subjects, rather than exhaustive studies. They're also meant to be reasonably objective, hence the deliberately detached style I used. I could write a lot about what The Smiths meant to me, but that's not what the Edited Guide is for. (First-person commentary is only allowed in the Guide in exceptional circumstances.) However, if you can think of any more *essential* facts about The Smiths that are missing from this Entry, please mention them here.
Meanwhile, Amelie, one thing you may well have spotted already: the Guide currently has no entry on 'Morrissey - the Singer', to cover the great man's solo career. Perhaps you could be the one to write it?
Good, but I'd like to edit it.
Ormondroyd Posted Mar 27, 2006
I have just written a new paragraph about Morrissey's post-Smiths adventures, but on reflection it might be wiser to leave the update for a couple of weeks so that it can include the reception given to the new single 'You Have Killed Me' (out today!) and the 'Ringleader' album, due next week.
Good, but I'd like to edit it.

I plan on writting one... when I have the time too.
I hate to admit to you that in fact my name is not really Amelie.
I use it as a fake identity, for I have many stalkers.
Who visit this site.
I have like you, fell in love with the move aswell.
Everyone says i should be an emily.
But thats so boring!
So why not Amelie?
Thats what people call me now.
That and Mozz Kitten.
Or my real name Erryn.
I cant have an ordinary name.
I think Im going to change it to Amelie.
Or name my daughter that.
Well I just thought I couldnt lie to you.
And you dont sound like any of my stalkers.
Sincerely,
Amelie

I still hope to meet a somewhat older flesh-and-blood Nemi.
'Ringleader Of The Tormentors' is great, isn't it? My current favourite track is 'In The Future When All's Well', with which I identify particularly strongly.
Good, but I'd like to edit it.

I think that his new CD
in short
is a new him.
I was reading an aricle about him in MOJO
An he confessed that he has found peace in his life.
I think that a lot of people are angry in his sudden change.
They shouldnt be.
In a way it's somewhat selfish.
I dont know though.
I guess personaly knowing him
changes my views about the whole thing.
I'm happy for him.
my personal favorite song on this record would be
To Me You Are a Work of Art
Yes "In the Future When All's Well" deserves a praise.
Sincerley,
Amelie

Hi Amelie,
Sometimes I'm a bit slow - and, as in this case, a bit busy - but I get there in the end. The updated Smiths entry can be viewed at A11182970 . Perhaps you'd like to have a look before I submit it to the Editors?
Good, but I'd like to edit it.

Good,Great! If you added anymore you would have a MOJO special, thanks again for the help with the morrissey entry. I think you deserve a lot of kudos for "the smiths"
