Your entry prompted me to watch this film again last night. I noticed that in the final scene, as the limo drives away, Harry's passenger looks out of the window, but it's Turner's face we see, and not Chas. i suppose this implies that Chas has changed a lot more that we thought...

...Or that the identities of the two men have blurred so much that they have fused, just as the gender identities did on several occasions earlier in the film...
Gosh; that reminds me of studying the film at uni. It's a film that you can waffle endlessly about, as I found out when I wrote the first of several essays on it, but I didn't want to inflict any critical theory on anyone who would want to read the entry, so I stuck to a synopsis and rumours.
I can get waffly, though, if you want.
