One decent translation of Plato's Republic is part of the Penguin Classics series of books. These are available in many traditional bookstores, most college bookstores, and online at http://www.amazon.com and http://www.barnesandnoble.com

If you want to read it online, here's an electronic version from Project Gutenberg: ftp://metalab.unc.edu/pub/docs/books/gutenberg/etext98/repub11.txt

The version I used was a Penguin translation, it's very old so they've probably updated it now. I noticed in my local Blackwell's sale shop (only in Oxford do you have a whole street of Blackwellseses) they have the complete Dialogues for a tenner, but Amazon.co.uk seem to have about half a dozen different versions.
