As I was reading your fascinating article, I remembered something I had read about people with obsessive-compulsive disorder often doing things in 3s. Do you have any explanation for this?

You've got me there. I know very little about OCD and hadn't heard about the sufferers doing things in 3s. When I get a moment I'll have a look around and if I find anything I'll post it here.
