When role-playing, be careful not to let anyone else use your dice, or they wear out the good numbers. smiley - sadface

Do you mean physically or metaphorically? (ie 'you have a 98% chance of survival; *rolls d%* oh dear. You're dead. The weedy monster has a 2% chance of survival; well fancy that!')

Sort of.
I really meant that when my mates use my dice they always succeed at what they are doing, or don't die, or otherwise get a good result. Then I get them back and botch and fumble everything I do, as they've worn out all the good numbers. smiley - sadface

I remember that! In my case though, it was always the players who had the horrendous luck, which is extremely frustrating if you're running a game and they can't get past the first scrap without half of them croaking.
I once ran a game of CP2020 in which my main player got into a firefight early on, and the first thing he rolled was a dire critical miss resulting in self-injury. He ended up emptying a whole assault rifle clip into his own leg. D'oh! smiley - bigeyes

Not good.
I must admit, I found that it was quite hard to injure my Werewolves, but I think that was cos my bad guys weren't hard enough.

It's worse when you wear out the good numbers yourself, though. Example, get a couple of 1% chances coming off, and you KNOW that you'll have rotten luck for the rest of the game...
