A Conversation for Carlos Santana's 'Supernatural' Album
Santana and "Supernatural"

Hmmmmmm....that's all very well, but.... I bought "Supernatural" and I quite like it, but it's quite clearly not a patch on some of the early albums. Listen to it against the old "Best of..." CD and reconsider!
By the way, I'm not so sure about "[O]n his other albums, Santana rarely played with guest performers". I have "Havana Moon" on vinyl - not a bad record at all though overlooked by most people, and THAT includes collaborations with Booker T, the very wonderful Fabulous Thunderbirds and even - God help us - Willie Nelson! Seems ol' Carlos has always had a fondness for enlivening the muse with other people's input!
