The butcher local to my previous flat sold wonderful Bacon Burgers - ther were simply 1/4lb pattys(sic) of ground Bacon held together with a little beaten egg. You used them in the same fashion as a traditional beefburger, but they were half the price and tasted *so* much better!
Fundamentally, I disagree with your interpretation of "Bacon Burger" as being a beefburger with a bit of bacon on top, no matter how you dress up the recipe...
