I just read your entry on "Scales in Music", from a few years back; it was linked by the from my (pending) entry A1339337 "Sol-Fa - The Key to the Riddle of Staff Notation."
Nice and clearly put, not too scary to the uninitiated.
You say "The 'equal temperament' tuning [is] the reason Bach wrote his famous Well Tempered Clavier" but it's not quite so, according to modern opinion; see A1339076 "Sol-Fa - The Key to Temperament". Apparently though Rameau favoured equal temperament, Bach did not; he preferred one of the "well-tempered" solutions such as Werckmeister's or Niedhardt's.
