Talking about the war on Iraq and the massacres being made every day, I think this is a forme of extermination and hatred. The occupiers want a civil war in Iraq and naturally some of the mass killings are made by the "liberators". Their principle is old:"devide and dominate".Concerning Zarqawi I'am not sure whether he exists or this is a myth, nobody saw him. This precisely makes the diffrence with the freedom fighters like Moqtada Sadr, but he doesn't perform mass killings of civil populations. So the occupiers created a virtual civil war instigator.Well, he is credible for the foolish brain washed crowds, but it's a highly improbable case that the normal muslim populations whould follow a virtual foreigner. The iraqi now have sufficient freedom fighters. More, the muslims don't kill without a reason. And the army resistence is legitimate.

Hello Kirilova. You make some good points. Certainly the killing and destruction in Iraq is wrong and must end. Any policy that results in such wholesale misery is wrong, evil, insane... call it what you will. It has to stop.

The chaplain of the former polish "Solidarity" trade union Jerzhi Popielushko, had said in 1983 " Nothing good may happen in a state which has no respect for the man". How right he was. We begin suffering a hevy economic and ecological crises.

Sadly, freedom for many has come to mean that the most aggresive and least compassionate people are free to steal and trample the dreams of others.

I'm from Bulgarian background and I am shocked to know the allegations of the West media about possible involvement of Bulgaria in the net of the concentration camps destined for the Muslim detainees of the CIA. The same gulag facilities, the same KGB practices and the same KBG torturers. It's like in a Hollywood film of horrours. The American and the British media had largely discussed the matter.
Now in the French media, incuding the influencial "Le Monde" there are informations that Bulgaria probably was engaged in the outsourcing of Guantanamo. It's unbelievable that Bulgaria could fall down very lowly, but knowing the mass corruption of the state administration/ which is sparkingly critised by the EC/, it's a logical event. How gulag was ressurrected in Guantanamo?

I saw that on the news also. There were reports around the time of the invasion of Afghanistan that they were trying to set up prisons in Eastern Europe. I remember that Hungary was mentioned as a country which the Americans were pressuring. The crazy thing is that Guantanamo and presumably these secret gulags in Europe and elsewhere only exist because what goes on there is illegal even in America. So much for the export of freedom and democracy! The Americans are making an off-shore industry of illegal detention and god knows what horrors.

I am horrified by these information. It seem that the KGB and the CIA made mutual assistance, having mutual economic interests. The former dissidents were crushed, the gulag system stopped but preserved. Now they made it running. Given that the "new rich" and the political "elites" of the East are very corrupted. I think this scandal, if confirmed, degrades all of us.

You are right. This is very scandalous. It is very worrying that many diiferent countries such as Canada, Australia, UK and America are all taking steps to legally undermine civil rights. In addition, secret activities (such as secret gulags and illegal deportation) are taking place, in the name of the so-called 'War on Terror', that most would have thought impossible in free societies until recently. The crazy thing is that the allegedly new threat of terror isn't new at all. There was probably a greater threat from terrorist groups active in Europe 30 or 40 years ago than there is today. So, clearly there is more going on than fighting terrorism.
