The article states "The mouth parts have a proboscis formed by adapted maxillae (mouth parts)."
Whilst this is generally true some of the primitive groups (such as the Micropterigidae of which there are five species on the UK list) do not have a proboscis.
Some proboscis-less moths do no feed as imagines and some feed by using their mandibles and the inner surface of their mouth parts to grind pollen grains.
