Informative and I learnt some stuff too
I never knew that ants and termites were different classes of insect, I always lumped them together since they live in colonies in much the same way. Well I never
I also didn't know that pigment was not done by insects. I knew butterfly wings and such were caused by cunning reflecting structure but not that this was general across all insect
One slight quibble. The first sentence should read something like, they represent 85% of all *animal* species as I imagine they are rather outnumberd by plant species and are most certainly outumbered by bacteria but this is a small quibble in what it s very interesting entry, Thanks

Well you would have thought so but I once found an article on the front page all about yeast that claimed it was a plant.

No, peer review isn't perfect, and I could hardly rely on people reviewing my entry knowing what all the insect orders are. I only found out after a lot of research
