h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Probably coincidence, but the date this Entry appeared on the Front Page was the first day of the 2005 Ock Street Fair. This is a fairly large event, which involves closing off a substantial part of the town centre for three days. There are all the usual funfair attractions: waltzers, fun-houses, huge spinny lose-your-lunch-type rides, hook-a-duck (or a Disney character, or a Winnie-the-Pooh etc.), slot machines, and endless burger/hot-dog/candy floss/popcorn stalls. All set up in what is a normal, residential/business street for 51 weeks of the year.
