Weald Country Park is actually 500 acres and not 7 as listed.
Several parts of the popular TV series, Just Good Friends, were filmed in the park (which was referred to as Toot Hill for some obscure reason), in the 1980's. Wead Park was originally being considered for hosting mountain biking for the 2010 London Olympics but I think this has now been relocated elsewhere.

The Mountain biking was very exciting, as they were going to build a mountain over the deflating old landfill site. Then they decided there weren't enough mountains. 
What's the source for the Just Good Friends filming? Of all the books and contacts I have for the history of Brentwood (plus the years putting up with the boring place) that's one I've not come across before, and I can't find any mention of it anywhere I've looked.
