Team Building
We’ve been white-water rafting in dinghies
We’ve been abseiling down cliffs in Wales
We’ve done destruction derby at Thruxton
We’ve even been hang-gliding in force nine gales.
We’ve gone parachuting over power lines in winter
Pot-holing during Biblical floods
Even went paint-balling in Canada
In grizzly bear-infested woods.
Our boss says these events help with team building
That they make us stronger – don’t make a fuss
But if that’s true, I’m beginning to wonder
Why is he never available to "team build" with us?
He’s sent us on Ballooning trips over artillary ranges
Been test crash dummies for new makes of car
We even went along with "blindfold lion taming"
(Though one or two felt that this went a touch too far).
He’s sent us clay pigeon shooting using live ammo
On rally cross in the Alps on bikes without brakes
Been orienteering in Scotland without a compass
In Brazil, tracked and wrestled anaconda snakes.
He’s just told us about our next teambuilding off-site
And I’m not suspicious or paranoid usually as such
But doesn’t "line dancing in a minefield"
On the face of it sound a bit much?
